Somalia began her professional career in the realm of retail management, refining her leadership abilities during her time at Liz Claiborne stores. In 2008, she made a transition to the banking industry and became a Teller at South State Bank. With a natural talent for financial services, Somalia quickly progressed to the role of Financial Services Representative (FSR).
As an FSR, Somalia distinguished herself as a regional leader along the coast, setting a benchmark for excellence and playing a pivotal role in training her peers. Her outstanding performance in sales and customer satisfaction earned her multiple accolades, solidifying her reputation as a top performer.
Eager to leverage her vast experience in customer service, sales, and management, Somalia is excited to take on the role of Administrative Assistant for the Gecko Hospitality team in Georgia and South Carolina. With her unique blend of skills, she aims to drive efficiency and foster a positive work environment within the team.
Born and raised in Brazil, Somalia nurtures a deep love for travel. She is a proud mother of two adult sons and has been happily married to her husband, Tim, for over two and a half decades.
