Assistant Controller – Restaurant Division

Location: Charlotte, NC (Local Applicants Only)

Salary: Up to $120,000 annually, based on experience

This role is critical in managing financial operations, enhancing reporting accuracy, and supporting leadership with strategic insights. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present precise financial reports to inform senior leadership decision-making.
• Manage and reconcile balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy before processing.
• Contribute to revenue forecasting and support growth plans aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate closely with the Controller to handle all financial aspects of the company.
• Supervise and mentor a team of up to five accountants, fostering professional development and teamwork.
• Ensure strict compliance with tax regulations, assist with audits, and monitor tax-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (experience in restaurant or hospitality accounting is advantageous).
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality sectors.
• Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail, plus the ability to create actionable financial reports.
• Advanced expertise in financial accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and guiding a small team effectively.
