Title of Position: Director of Engineering

Job Description: The Director of Engineering at our resort oversees the effective functioning of the property, including buildings, grounds, and all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, while setting the overall vision for the engineering strategy. This senior role involves managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation efforts. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing engineering strategies by analyzing trends, establishing objectives, and creating operational systems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. The Director monitors and manages financial strategies, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost control, while initiating corrective actions to address variances. They ensure uninterrupted operations by coordinating utilities, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing engineering project management, including cost-benefit analyses and resource planning. The role establishes best practices, policies, and procedures to maintain high operational standards and ensures compliance with regulations by staying updated on codes and industry developments. Additionally, the Director provides technical insights by analyzing operational challenges and data trends, while also managing a team through training, coaching, performance monitoring, and enforcing policies. This position requires leadership in maintaining seamless operations and driving innovation to meet the property’s engineering needs.

Qualifications:

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and relevant certifications (Plumbing License, CPO License, AFO Certified).

· 2+ years of experience managing multiple technical teams and leading projects, with 1+ years in senior management.

· Proven ability to oversee programs ensuring compliance with safety regulations such as Emergency Response, Ergonomics, and Hazard Communications.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement effective programs while managing cross-functional teams
