Restaurant General Manager – Colts Neck, NJ (New Restaurant Opening Experience Required)

We are seeking a driven and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operations of a fast-casual breakfast and lunch concept in Colts Neck, NJ. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with proven success in new restaurant openings, team development, and high-volume restaurant management. The ideal candidate will bring operational expertise, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to build a strong team culture from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of the new restaurant opening, including hiring, training, setup, vendor coordination, and team onboarding
  • Oversee daily operations across both front and back of house to ensure consistent, high-quality guest experiences
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team focused on food quality, service excellence, and cleanliness
  • Monitor and control labor, food costs, and inventory to meet or exceed budgeted financial goals
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations to drive accountability and retention
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally, maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests
  • Collaborate with ownership on marketing, community outreach, and brand-building initiatives
  • Execute operational standards with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience, with a proven track record of successful new restaurant openings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train, coach, and inspire teams
  • In-depth knowledge of cost control, labor scheduling, and restaurant P&L management
  • Expertise in food safety (ServSafe or equivalent), cleanliness, and operational compliance
  • High level of initiative, organization, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
