We are hiring a Sous Chef for our upscale casual dining concept. This role requires strong culinary skills, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to lead and inspire a team in a high-paced environment. Ideal candidates bring a culinary degree or equivalent experience in full-service or upscale restaurants, with a strong preference for individuals who have worked in Southern upscale scratch kitchens. Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience in an upscale Southern scratch kitchen environment.
  • Expertise in Southern cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and bold flavors.
  • Experience managing inventory, sourcing local ingredients, and maintaining food cost controls.
  • Prior experience mentoring and training kitchen staff to produce consistent, high-quality dishes.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring flawless execution of all dishes.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate culinary staff to maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate on menu development, creating innovative and seasonal offerings that reflect our upscale Southern identity.
  • Monitor inventory and purchasing to ensure proper stock levels while adhering to budget requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, organized kitchen and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding new kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
