We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laundry Manager to oversee the daily operations of the laundry department at a luxury hotel. Title of Position: Laundry Manager

Compensation: $70,000 - $77,500 per year (Full-time)

Job Responsibilities:

The Laundry Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the laundry and dry-cleaning operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, pressing, folding, and distribution of linens, towels, uniforms, and guest garments.
• Supervising and scheduling laundry staff to ensure productivity and appropriate coverage.
• Maintaining quality control for all laundered and dry-cleaned items, ensuring timely delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinating with housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, and other departments to ensure linen availability and proper care.
• Managing inventory and par levels of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals.
• Monitoring and maintaining commercial laundry and dry-cleaning equipment, coordinating with Engineering for repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Training staff on laundering techniques, equipment operation, and guest service standards.
• Tracking departmental productivity, preparing reports, and managing the laundry budget.
• Enforcing safety protocols, infection control standards, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Researching and coordinating bids from external vendors for laundry-related services and supplies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial laundry and dry-cleaning operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Dry Cleaner certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laundry and dry-cleaning equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Financial and analytical skills for budgeting and cost control.
• Availability to work flexible hours as needed.
