Title of Position: Security Supervisor

Compensation: $23.76/hour - $27.36/hour (Full-time, non-negotiable introductory rate for 90 days, then full rate)

Job Responsibilities:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Director of Security in overseeing all security operations, ensuring the safety and protection of guests, employees, and hotel property. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Director of Security in managing and supervising the daily security operations of the Halekulani property.
• Maintaining a high-profile, yet discreet, security presence, focusing on prevention and guest relations.
• Implementing and enforcing security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of high-profile guests and the property.
• Responding to security incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns with professionalism and an empathetic approach.
• Conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, and preparing detailed incident reports.
• Collaborating effectively with both Halekulani security staff and Allied Security personnel to ensure a unified team approach.
• Training security staff on customer service standards, emergency procedures, and hotel policies.
• Upholding the hotel’s strict grooming and dress code standards, which include no facial hair for men (mustaches are permitted) and no visible tattoos (tattoos must be covered).
• Demonstrating strong intuition and judgment in handling sensitive situations, avoiding a "militant" or "police department" style of interaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel security or a related high-end customer service security environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to balance security enforcement with exceptional guest service and an empathetic approach.
• Strong observational skills, intuition, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse guests and staff.
• Proficiency in security systems and incident reporting.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Must adhere to Halekulani’s strict grooming and dress code standards: no facial hair for men (full mustache is acceptable), and no visible tattoos (tattoos must be covered).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
