Experienced Grill Cook - Popular Scratch Kitchen Restaurant

Location: Ogunquit, Maine

Compensation: $22 – $25 per hour

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Season: April 1st through mid-February (Followed by a 6-week break)

A premier dining destination in beautiful Ogunquit, Maine, specializing in authentic Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, is currently seeking a results-driven Grill Cook to join its culinary team. This establishment is dedicated to providing guests with timeless family recipes and distinct flavors, ranging from whole Grilled Branzino to Marinated Grilled Octopus.

Position Overview

We are searching for a grill specialist who can balance operational efficiency with a passion for high-quality cuisine. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the grill station, ensuring that every dish meets exacting standards for taste and presentation. While the primary focus is grilling, this role also requires strong preparation skills to support overall kitchen flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert Station Management: Manage the grill station with precision in a high-volume environment, ensuring proteins like fresh seafood and lamb are cooked to perfection.
• Preparation & Support: Assist with daily food preparation duties to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service; proficiency in Sauté is considered a significant asset.

Qualifications

• Culinary Expertise: Extensive experience as a Line Cook with a specific mastery of grilling techniques.
• Versatility: Strong prep skills are required; ability to work Sauté is a plus.
• Professionalism: A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to consistency and quality.
