About the Company / Opportunity
A premier beachfront resort in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking an experienced and driven Catering Sales Manager to join its events and hospitality team. This role is responsible for generating catering revenue through weddings, social events, and corporate functions while ensuring each event is executed seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Catering Sales & Business Development
- Proactively generate new catering business including weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, and social events.
- Respond to inquiries, qualify leads, and convert prospects into confirmed bookings.
- Conduct property tours, client meetings, and proposal presentations to secure new business.
- Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, event organizers, and local partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual catering sales revenue goals.
Client Relations & Event Planning
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from the initial inquiry through the planning process.
- Work closely with clients to understand event vision, guest counts, logistics, menus, and service expectations.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) detailing all event requirements.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure expectations are clearly defined and exceeded.
Administrative & Revenue Management
- Maintain accurate records of leads, bookings, and client communications within the CRM system.
- Monitor booking pace, event revenue, and sales performance against goals.
- Assist with developing competitive catering packages and pricing strategies.
- Ensure all contracts, deposits, and documentation comply with resort policies and procedure
