What You’ll Do as Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef in Charlotte, you’ll play a key leadership role in driving kitchen performance and consistency:

  • Partner with the Executive Chef to execute seasonal, chef-driven menus
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing BOH team
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost management
  • Maintain excellence in plating, presentation, and food quality
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Support daily operations in a fast-paced, upscale kitchen environment

Sous Chef Qualifications

We’re looking for a driven culinary leader who brings both skill and leadership:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sous Chef or upscale kitchen leadership role
  • Background in fine dining or high-end restaurant concepts
  • Strong understanding of scratch kitchens, food cost controls, and team leadership
  • Experience working with seasonal menus and high-quality ingredients
  • Culinary education is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-expectation environment
