Assistant General Manager | Brick, NJ | Salary up to 65k +Commission
We are seeking a hands-on, high-energy Assistant General Manager to support operations at a high-volume, breakfast and lunch–focused restaurant in Brick, NJ. This is a key leadership role for an operator who leads from the floor, drives guest experience, and contributes directly to revenue through catering and brand presence.
This opportunity is best suited for someone from an independent restaurant background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats while maintaining strong operational standards.
What You’ll Own:
Front of House Leadership
- Build and manage FOH schedules aligned with volume and labor targets
- Lead service from the floor, ensuring a high level of guest experience and operational execution
- Train, coach, and develop team members with a hands-on leadership approach
Catering Sales & Execution
- Drive catering sales and manage all incoming inquiries
- Coordinate and execute catering orders from start to finish
- Build local relationships to grow catering revenue
- Earn 10% commission on catering sales after 90 days
Marketing & Social Presence
- Own and execute social media content across Instagram and TikTok
- Create engaging, on-brand content that drives traffic and builds awareness
- Stay current with trends and bring fresh, relevant ideas to the business
Operational Support & Execution
- Assist with expo and takeout operations during peak periods
- Maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH to ensure seamless service
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team and ensure smooth, efficient operations
- Support overall daily execution with a focus on consistency, speed, and quality
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, independent concept
- Proven hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives on the floor
- Experience or strong interest in catering sales and revenue generation
- Comfortable managing social media platforms (Instagram/TikTok)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Compensation & Opportunity:
- Base salary: $55,000–$65,000
- 10% commission on catering sales (after 90 days)
- Structured 5-day work week averaging 50–55 hours
