Job Description
General Manager – Full-Service Hotel
Austin, Texas
Salary: $90K - $100K + Bonus Potential
Position Overview
We're looking for a General Manager who knows that running a full-service hotel is about more than keeping the lights on. It's about setting the standard, protecting the guest experience, and building a team that performs when it matters most.
This is a leadership role with real scope. You'll own every part of the operation, from the front desk to food and beverage, and you'll have the authority to shape how this property runs and how it's remembered. If you've built your career on strong operations, steady leadership, and measurable results, this is where that experience pays off.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Daily Operations
Direct the full operation across front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. Keep every department aligned, every shift covered, and every guest touchpoint consistent with the standard you set.
Lead and Develop the Team
Build, coach, and retain a team that delivers. Hire with intention, train with purpose, and create an environment where strong people want to stay. Your leadership sets the tone for the entire property.
Drive Guest Satisfaction
Own the guest experience from arrival to checkout. Track feedback, resolve issues quickly, and put strategies in place that turn first-time guests into loyal ones.
Own Financial Performance
Build and manage the budget, control costs, and drive revenue. Read the numbers, understand what they're telling you, and make decisions that protect both profitability and quality.
Uphold Quality and Brand Standards
Maintain compliance with brand requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards. Run regular inspections and hold every department to the level guests expect.
Lead Strategic Planning
Work with ownership and senior leadership to set the property's direction. Identify opportunities for growth, plan ahead, and execute initiatives that strengthen long-term performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of five years in hotel management, with a proven record of success in a comparable full-service environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and connect with guests, staff, and ownership alike.
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Sharp problem-solving instincts and the composure to lead through a fast-paced, high-standard operation.
Why Join Us
You've spent years learning how a great hotel actually works. This is the place to put that experience to use, with the autonomy to lead and the support to do it well.
We value leaders who raise the standard, develop their people, and treat every guest stay like it matters. In return, we offer a property with real scope, a team worth leading, and a clear path for the kind of career growth experienced operators are looking for.
Strong leadership changes everything in a hotel. If you're ready to lead one, we'd like to talk.
