Pizza Maker / Shift Supervisor

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Pizza Maker / Shift Supervisor to join our team in New City, NY. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with strong pizza-making skills, a passion for quality food, and the ability to lead a team during busy service periods. The successful candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure consistent product quality, and help maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards.
Stretch dough by hand, prepare toppings, and manage oven operations.
Supervise kitchen staff during assigned shifts and provide direction as needed.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency on every order.
Monitor food preparation, portion control, and inventory levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and prep areas.
Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
Assist with scheduling, training, and onboarding of new team members.
Manage opening and closing procedures.
Help control food costs by minimizing waste and ensuring proper product handling.
Support front-of-house operations when necessary to ensure excellent guest service.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of pizza-making experience required.
Previous supervisory, shift lead, or kitchen leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of dough preparation, stretching, topping, and oven management.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
