A leading airport food service operator is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume, quick-service restaurant concept at Boston Logan International Airport. This is a hands-on leadership role with full operational and financial accountability, ideal for a results-driven restaurant leader who is passionate about people, performance, and guest experience.

Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational excellence, and financial performance of the restaurant. This means overseeing daily operations, developing a high-performing team, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring compliance across all company, airport, and regulatory requirements.

This role works closely with the Director of Operations and Regional Leadership to hit business objectives while building a culture where team members want to show up and do their best work.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Assistant General Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members
  • Build a culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, recognition, and continuous improvement
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain high-performing team members
  • Conduct performance evaluations and deliver regular coaching, development, and corrective action
  • Build succession plans and prepare future leaders for advancement
  • Promote employee engagement while maintaining a positive work environment

Operations Management

  • Analyze sales trends, labor costs, food costs, and controllable expenses
  • Develop action plans to improve profitability and operational efficiency
  • Monitor inventory and ordering to minimize waste while ensuring product availability
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, safe counts, and loss prevention practices

  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules to maximize productivity
  • Manage overtime and labor costs without compromising service standards

Compliance & Safety

  • Monitor training completion and maintain required certifications
  • Communicate restaurant performance, staffing updates, and operational needs to senior leadership

On-Site Leadership Expectations

This is an active, floor-level leadership role. You will be present, engaged, and visible during your shifts—supporting front-of-house and back-of-house operations, stepping in during peak periods, covering staffing gaps when needed, and holding the standard every day. This is not an office role.
