Job Description

General Manager | Italian Restaurant and Bar | Holliston, MA

If you know how to run a busy dining room, lead a strong team, and make guests feel like family, this is the kind of restaurant where your leadership will show up on the plate, on the floor, and on the P&L.

We're opening a new full-service Italian restaurant and bar in Holliston, MA, built on fresh ingredients, wood-fired flavor, and the kind of welcoming atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars. Think warm hospitality, a lively bar, and scratch-made Italian dishes that keep the tables full. We're looking for a General Manager ready to own the operation and grow with us.

The Role

As General Manager, you'll lead the entire operation, front of house and back of house, while building a culture your team wants to be part of. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership, real accountability, and real room to grow.

What You'll Do

Own the P&L. Manage food cost, labor, and profitability while hitting revenue and margin targets.

Lead the team. Hire, train, coach, and develop FOH and BOH staff, building a bench of leaders who stick around.

Run the floor and the kitchen. Oversee daily operations across both sides of the house to keep service sharp and consistent.

Protect the guest experience. Set service standards, handle escalations with poise, and keep guests coming back.

Manage staffing and scheduling. Build smart schedules that balance coverage, labor cost, and your team's quality of life.

Handle vendor relations. Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor partnerships to keep quality high and waste low.

Stay compliant. Maintain Massachusetts labor law, health code, and food safety standards without cutting corners.

What You Bring

Required:

5+ years of restaurant management experience, including time in a GM or senior leadership role

Background in casual or full-service dining

Strong financial acumen; you read a P&L and know exactly where to act

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and retain a team

Steady leadership under the pressure of a busy service

Preferred:

Familiarity with Massachusetts labor and health regulations

Experience in Italian or scratch-kitchen concepts

A track record of promoting from within

What We Offer

Salary of $80,000–$100,000+, based on experience

Performance bonus tied to results you can influence

Health benefits

Paid time off that respects your life outside the restaurant

How to Apply

Send your resume and a short note about your management background. We review applications on a rolling basis, so strong candidates are encouraged to apply early.

A great restaurant runs on great leadership. If that's the difference you bring, we want to talk.
