Job Description

Restaurant Operations Manager – Full Service & Bar

Charlottesville, Virginia | $70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity

Great restaurants don’t run on autopilot. They run on strong leaders who know what’s happening on the floor.

We’re looking for a Restaurant Operations Manager to join a high-volume, full-service restaurant and bar in Charlottesville, Virginia.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the pace of a busy restaurant—managing the floor, supporting the team, solving problems in real time, and making sure the guest experience doesn’t slip when volume hits.

Whether your experience comes from a strong independent restaurant or an established corporate concept, if you’re ready to take the next step in restaurant leadership, we want to talk.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead front-of-house operations during high-volume shifts
  • Manage floor execution from opening through peak service
  • Coach and develop servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Maintain strong service standards and sequence of service
  • Oversee execution within a busy, full-bar environment
  • Manage floor plans, staffing levels, and labor throughout the shift
  • Handle guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • Solve operational issues in real time without losing control of the floor
  • Partner with culinary and senior leadership to keep FOH and BOH aligned
  • Support scheduling, labor management, and operational goals
  • Help build team morale, accountability, and consistency
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and profitability

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2+ years of front-of-house restaurant management experience
  • Full-service restaurant and bar experience
  • Background with either a respected independent restaurant or structured corporate concept
  • Strong understanding of bar operations and high-volume beverage service
  • Experience managing the pace and flow of full-service dining
  • Strong guest-recovery and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach employees and hold teams accountable
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and labor management
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Most importantly: the ability to stay calm, make decisions, and lead when the restaurant is packed

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: Approximately $70,000

Plus:

  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Paid time off
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Strong leadership support
  • Opportunity to continue developing your operational and financial management experience

Ready for More Than Just Running a Shift?

If you’re already the person people look to when the restaurant gets slammed, it may be time to turn that experience into your next leadership opportunity.

We’re looking for someone who wants to lead the floor, develop people, understand the business, and keep growing.
