Job Description

Restaurant Manager

St Petersburg, Florida

$65k-$75K

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Grow comparable sales 8–12% year-over-year by owning the guest experience, driving sports-night and specials traffic, and converting walk-ins into loyal regulars.
  • Hit or beat food, liquor, and labor cost targets every period while protecting quality and speed of service during 200+ cover rushes.
  • Deliver guest satisfaction scores in the top quartile of the brand by coaching servers and bartenders in real time and closing every shift with a full house that wants to come back.
  • Build and retain a fully staffed, high-performing team—hire, train, and develop 40+ hourly team members so turnover stays below company average and every shift runs without you having to jump the line.
  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly P&L reviews; identify variances fast and implement fixes that stick, not just explanations.
  • Keep the restaurant inspection-ready every day—health, safety, and brand standards—with zero critical violations and a kitchen and bar that look as good at 11 p.m. as they did at 4 p.m.
  • Activate local sports, community, and special calendars so the restaurant becomes the default gathering spot, not just another sports bar.

Environment & Resources

You’ll report to the Area Director and lead a team of Assistant Managers plus 40–60 hourly associates in a high-volume, 70+ tap, scratch-kitchen environment. You’ll have standard brand tools, a local marketing budget for events and sports partnerships, and the authority to run the floor, the numbers, and the people. This is hands-on leadership in a late-stage, privately held chain that still feels like a neighborhood spot.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Restaurant Manager or equivalent in high-volume casual dining or sports bar with proven P&L ownership and sales growth.
  • Track record of hitting food, liquor, and labor targets while maintaining guest scores and low turnover.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, schedule, and coach a large hourly team through peak periods and high-turnover environments.
  • Comfort running a 70+ beer program, scratch kitchen, and sports-driven volume without sacrificing quality or cleanliness.
  • Strong shift leadership: you close the restaurant, not just the paperwork.

Why This Role

  • Real P&L ownership and a location that can move the needle for the brand.
  • Iconic menu item and 70+ taps that actually draw crowds—sports, specials, and community built in.
  • Late-stage private company with the scale of a chain and the personality of a local hangout.
  • Clear path: strong operators move to multi-unit or bigger volume houses.
