We are seeking an accomplished, hands-on Restaurant General Manager to lead a highly regarded fine-dining Italian restaurant with over 30 years of culinary excellence and annual sales exceeding $5 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Restaurant Operations: Lead daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, service, and operational efficiency.
• Culinary Leadership: Oversee kitchen execution, food preparation, recipe consistency, plate presentation, menu development, and daily specials.
• Guest Experience: Maintain a polished, welcoming dining room presence, building relationships with guests and ensuring exceptional hospitality.
• Financial Management: Monitor food, beverage, and labor costs, inventory, purchasing, and operational profitability.
• Team Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and lead culinary and service teams while fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, service consistency, and restaurant performance.
• Ownership Collaboration: Work closely with ownership and established management to maintain traditions while implementing thoughtful improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of General Manager experience in upscale or fine dining; ideally 5–10+ years of progressive restaurant leadership.
• Strong culinary background is essential, with hands-on knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, menu execution, and cost controls.
• Proven success managing high-volume, full-service restaurants, preferably generating $4 million–$6 million or more annually.
• Exceptional front-of-house leadership, guest relations, and polished fine-dining service skills.
• Strong financial acumen, including food costs, beverage costs, labor management, inventory, and profitability.
• Experience with authentic Italian cuisine, European-inspired hospitality, or independently owned restaurants preferred.
• Previous Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Chef/Manager experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills, with the ability to earn trust and lead with confidence and humility.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
