Job Description

Executive Chef

Wisconsin | Full-Time | Hands-On Culinary Leadership

Bring your creativity, lead your kitchen, and put your experience to work.

An established restaurant at a Wisconsin golf destination is seeking a hands-on Executive Chef who can bring together great food, strong leadership, and smart kitchen operations.

This opportunity is ideal for a culinary leader who enjoys developing people, creating dishes guests return for, and understanding the numbers behind every plate. You’ll work closely with restaurant leadership to deliver a consistent, welcoming dining experience for golfers, local guests and private groups.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily kitchen operations, staying actively involved in preparation, execution, and service.
  • Develop and execute menus, seasonal specials and offerings for events and golf-related functions.
  • Cost recipes and evaluate menu pricing with restaurant leadership to support profitability.
  • Maintain consistent standards for food quality, presentation, portioning, and ticket times.
  • Recruit, train, schedule and develop kitchen employees.
  • Build a respectful, accountable kitchen culture with clear expectations.
  • Manage food ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory.
  • Monitor food costs, kitchen labor, waste, and other controllable expenses.
  • Schedule kitchen staff around projected sales, events, and established labor budgets.
  • Build productive vendor relationships and maintain ingredient standards.
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and equipment-care procedures.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house leadership to keep communication and service running smoothly.
  • Review operating results and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

What You Bring

  • Experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready for greater responsibility.
  • Full-service restaurant experience and confidence leading a working kitchen.
  • A solid understanding of recipe costing, inventory, purchasing, and labor management.
  • The ability to turn menu ideas into dishes that are practical, consistent, and profitable.
  • Experience training employees and developing a dependable kitchen team.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A calm, hands-on approach during busy service.
  • Pride in food quality and a commitment to the guest experience.
  • The ability to balance creativity with the restaurant’s concept, customer preferences, and business goals.

Schedule

This full-time leadership role requires availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled events based on business needs.

Make Your Mark

This is an opportunity to help shape a Wisconsin dining destination through thoughtful food, strong teamwork and consistent execution. We’re looking for someone who brings ideas, follows through and takes pride in helping both the kitchen and the business succeed.
