Krista Bearden New 2026
Krista Bearden
Assistant Financial Controler

Krista Bearden has been part of the Gecko Hospitality family for over 20 years—almost since the very beginning. Throughout her career with Gecko, she has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success, helping to build the strong financial and operational foundation that supports the organization today.

Bringing a diverse blend of expertise in accounting, financial management, administration, technology, graphic design, and client relations, Krista serves as Assistant Financial Controller, overseeing the company’s accounting and financial operations. Her responsibilities include accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, expense management, partner & client relations, compliance, and the day-to-day financial and operational processes that help keep the organization running efficiently and positioned for continued growth.

Krista’s leadership style is grounded in collaboration, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to supporting others. She leads by example, approaching challenges with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to roll up her sleeves and help wherever needed. She has become a trusted resource for leadership, franchise partners, and team members alike. Whether she’s solving a complex problem, improving a process, or guiding a team through change, her focus remains on finding practical solutions and helping others succeed. Her answer is often, “Sure, I can do that!”

When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Krista outdoors enjoying new adventures with her husband on their electric scooters. She loves traveling, exploring new places, spending time with family and friends, and embracing an active outdoor lifestyle. At home, she’s happily supervised by her two feline companions, Harold and Bernadette, who make sure there’s never a dull moment. Her adventurous spirit, positive outlook, and passion for continuous learning are qualities that carry over into everything she does—both professionally and personally.
