We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Food Service Director to lead and manage all aspects of our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the food service or hospitality industry, coupled with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. This role requires a dynamic individual committed to delivering high-quality dining experiences while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and implement menus that align with customer preferences, nutritional guidelines, and budget constraints.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance to ensure operational efficiency and staff development.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating contracts for optimal cost and quality of supplies.
  • Monitor and manage operational budgets to ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Analyze service performance and customer feedback, implementing improvements to enhance satisfaction and operational success.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and government regulations across all food service functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in food service, catering, or hospitality operations.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service and client satisfaction.
