Assistant Controller - Restaurant Division

Location: Charlotte, NC (Local Applicants Only)

Salary

Up to $120,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE)

Position Overview

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our restaurant division's financial team. This role involves producing accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing key financial data, and supporting senior management in making informed decisions. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and play a crucial role in maintaining financial efficiency and integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate financial reports to support senior management decision-making.
• Monitor, analyze, and reconcile balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Review payroll for accuracy prior to processing.
• Support forecasting efforts focused on business revenue and growth.
• Aid the Controller in managing all organizational financial matters.
• Supervise and mentor a team of up to 5 accountants.
• Ensure compliance by monitoring tax-related activities and preparing documentation for audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (specialization in restaurant/hospitality accounting is a plus).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in preparing clear and concise financial reports.
• Proficient in financial accounting software with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing a small team.
