Compensation: $120k to $140k+ along with relocation allowance.


Job Description: The Director of Liquor will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing strategies for the liquor department to ensure exceptional customer experiences, robust sales growth, and alignment with organizational goals. This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to manage product assortment, streamline operations, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

·      Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share within the liquor department.

·      Merchandising Leadership: Design and oversee merchandising plans that reflect shifting customer preferences and maintain competitive positioning in the market.

·      Product Assortment: Ensure an innovative and updated product assortment that responds to emerging trends while meeting the expectations of diverse customers.

·      Pricing Strategies: Guide the execution of pricing models and promotional campaigns to drive traffic and revenue.

·      Vendor Relations: Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, product availability, and timely deliveries.

·      Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels to balance product availability with cost control, minimizing waste and enhancing profitability.

·      Market Awareness: Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.

·      Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the liquor department adheres to all federal and state laws and company regulations governing alcoholic beverages.

·      Collaboration and Culture: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate liquor strategies into broader company initiatives and uphold organizational values.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven leadership experience in the retail liquor industry, with a focus on sales and merchandising.
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for beer, wine, and spirits, along with a comprehensive understanding of market trends and customer profiles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams towards success.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners.
