Our upscale seafood restaurant is searching for an Executive Chef who can bring a blend of creativity and expertise to craft exceptional dishes inspired by seasonal, regional flavors. We pride ourselves on sourcing the freshest local seafood and showcasing it in imaginative and memorable ways.

The ideal candidate will embody our commitment to culinary excellence by delivering a menu that celebrates fresh ingredients and innovative techniques. Beyond the kitchen, the Executive Chef will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring a top-tier culinary team. A strong focus on cost control and P&L management is also essential to drive profitability while maintaining the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee food preparation and culinary operations.
  • Develop and modify menus to ensure they meet quality standards and reflect seasonal inspiration.
  • Accurately estimate food requirements and control food and labor costs.
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a high-performance team.
  • Manage equipment purchases, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top culinary talent.
  • Address challenges or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure impeccable plating and presentation of dishes.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as payroll and record-keeping.
  • Adhere to all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive, professional environment for both coworkers and guests.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in high-volume, full-service restaurants.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture high-performing teams, including managing a minimum of 3 salaried sous chefs and 20+ hourly kitchen staff.
  • Exemplifies integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in culinary and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • A passion for hospitality and a genuine joy in creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Experience in high-end or boutique restaurants is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in fish butchery and seafood preparation.
  • Collaborative approach, especially with the General Manager.
  • Creative culinary vision and a strong food background.
