Work Performed by the Resort General Manager in Sedona, AZ:
- Oversee all resort operations, including Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Resort Activities, Maintenance, and Landscaping, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
- Uphold high standards of guest service by working collaboratively with departments to address concerns promptly, while driving continuous improvement through strong partnerships with quality assurance teams and trainers.
- Lead, coach, and conduct performance evaluations for staff to enhance team performance and guest satisfaction, while effectively managing labor costs and operating expenses.
- Drive departmental profitability by identifying innovative ways to increase revenue and reduce costs, and implementing creative solutions for improved financial performance.
- Collaborate with Reservations, Sales, and Front Office teams to optimize room rates, occupancy levels, and total revenue, while building strong relationships with VIP guests, homeowners, and meeting planners.
- Develop and implement industry-standard training programs to maintain a highly skilled workforce. Partner with Human Resources to ensure employee satisfaction and effective management practices.
- Assist in preparing business forecasts and recommend strategies to improve revenue, reduce costs, and enhance guest satisfaction. Work closely with the Managing Director on projects and property development initiatives.
- Lead guest satisfaction efforts by partnering with departments to improve feedback scores and deliver a consistently high-quality experience for every guest.
- Coordinate with General Managers of neighboring properties to ensure smooth inter-property guest experiences and uphold safety and emergency protocols for both guests and staff.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the resort, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to operational demands.
Supervision Exercised: Oversee the Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Lodging, Activities Director, Director of Engineering, Landscaping Manager, and Director of Retail.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must hold a college degree in hotel management, business administration, or related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. A minimum of three to five years of experience as a Director of Operations, Resort Manager, or General Manager at a luxury resort is essential.
We are seeking individuals with exceptional organizational abilities, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in computer systems is required, with advanced knowledge of property management systems (PMS) being highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent guest service and team leadership skills, possess a strong command of the English language, and have legal authorization to work in the United States. Flexibility is key, including availability to work morning and afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays.
