Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operations at our serene wellness retreat. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating tranquil, clean, and inviting spaces that enhance the guest experience. As the Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee all aspects of housekeeping, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service to align with the retreat’s mission of wellness and relaxation.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping Operations:

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, common areas, spa facilities, and outdoor spaces, ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols that align with the retreat’s wellness-focused standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, ensuring timely replenishment and cost control.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and attention to detail.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to ensure accountability and professional growth.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to high standards and a guest-first mindset.

Guest Experience:

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, including special requests, room preferences, and wellness-focused amenities.
  • Address guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Ensure all guest areas reflect the retreat’s commitment to tranquility, cleanliness, and comfort.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including eco-friendly cleaning practices that align with the retreat’s sustainability goals.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Implement and maintain protocols for handling lost and found items, hazardous materials, and emergency situations.

Administrative Duties:

  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping department’s budget, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, staff schedules, and cleaning logs.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of housekeeping management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or wellness retreat setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning practices and sustainable operations (preferred).
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
