As a Hotel Controller in Death Valley, CA, with oversight of two hotels totaling 363 rooms, you’ll step into a leadership role where your financial acumen and hospitality-specific expertise directly support our regional operations. Reporting to the Regional Controller and General Manager, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the success of our iconic hotels.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in hospitality accounting management.
- CPA/CMA certification and Hotel accounting experience is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, analytical expertise, and proficiency in Excel.
Job Responsibilities
As a Hotel Controller in Death Valley, CA, you’ll:
- Lead all financial management operations for two hotels on-site.
- Oversee daily revenue reporting, monthly financial reporting, and annual profit planning, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and enforce policies with the Regional Controller to safeguard company assets.
- Supervise payroll, revenue auditing, and cash operations teams.
- Monitor and analyze variances from budget and provide actionable insights to achieve financial goals.
- Ensure the precision of physical inventories, audits, and proper tax collection and reporting in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Regional Controller on forecasting and special project analyses.
- Continuously analyze accounting operations for efficiency and staff utilization.
- Participate in staff training programs focusing on environmental and emergency action plans.
- Contribute to executive-level decision-making by attending director meetings and maintaining effective regional and corporate communication.
