The Role: Sous Chef
We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our leadership team and work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure
excellence in all aspects of culinary operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a
collaborative environment, and has the leadership skills to inspire and develop a kitchen team.
Responsibilities
• Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and specials.
• Lead and mentor line cooks, prep team, and dish staff with a focus on consistency, quality, and teamwork.
• Uphold and enforce kitchen standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety (HACCP compliance).
• Assist with ordering, inventory, and vendor relations to ensure cost efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain high culinary standards in preparation, plating, and portioning.
• Collaborate on menu development and seasonal dishes.
• Step into the role of kitchen lead in the Executive Chef’s absence.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor in an upscale casual or fine dining setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Knowledge of Mediterranean and modern American cuisine a plus.
• Proven ability to manage costs, control waste, and support efficient kitchen operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences through food.
