Job Summary

As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and efficiency. This leadership role requires a hands-on manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high culinary standards, and fosters a positive team culture. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with ownership and front-of-house management to deliver a seamless and exceptional dining experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all back-of-house operations, including prep, line, and dish areas
  • Ensure consistent execution of all dishes with attention to taste, presentation, and timing
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
  • Manage food and labor costs, inventory, and kitchen scheduling to meet financial goals
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to promote growth, accountability, and teamwork
  • Collaborate with ownership and management on menu updates, specials, and event offerings
  • Maintain relationships with local vendors and purveyors to ensure quality and cost control
  • Monitor performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to company standards
  • Uphold a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen culture rooted in collaboration and excellence


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of kitchen leadership experience (Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager role preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory, and cost control
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Proven track record in maintaining consistent quality and food safety standards
  • Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and using fresh, local ingredients
  • Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required

Schedule

Full-time position. Weekends and evenings are required.
