Job Title: Restaurant General Manager (GM)
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 annually, plus full benefits (PTO, vacation, medical, dental, 401K)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead an upscale dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing high-end restaurants, a creative approach to food and beverage programs, and the ability to engage with the local community. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee daily operations, inspire a small team, and deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wine & Cocktail Program Development: Refine and expand the wine list and cocktail offerings to align with customer preferences while maintaining quality and creativity.
- Dining Experience: Ensure all service touchpoints deliver an elevated dining experience, from arrival to dessert, with a focus on two- or three-course dinner service.
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a small team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Sales & Marketing: Collaborate on sales, marketing, and social media strategies to promote the restaurant and drive business growth.
- Community Engagement: Build strong connections with the local community and represent the restaurant in public-facing roles, including social media and media appearances.
- Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including financial performance, staffing, and service standards, while maintaining autonomy in decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Proven success managing an upscale dining environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to manage and inspire a small team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high team morale.
- Creativity: Passion for food and beverage, with the ability to innovate and elevate the dining experience through menu and service enhancements.
- Community Focus: Ability to connect with the local community and represent the restaurant in a charismatic and engaging manner.
- Operational Expertise: Experience managing a restaurant with significant annual revenue, high cover counts, and a focus on quality service.
- Local Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with Hawaii’s culture and community is a plus, as is experience working in a similar market.
