Restaurant Operations Manager – Fast-Casual Dining Leader

Location: Waterbury, CT.

The Role: Operations Manager


The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in maintaining operational excellence. You will uphold our high standards for service, safety, and culture across all areas of the restaurant.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Execution: Act as the Manager on Duty, managing opening and closing procedures, and executing daily functions to company standards.
  • Financial Accountability: Manage cash handling procedures and ensure strict accountability.
  • Shift Management: Deploy team members effectively, utilize required tools and logs to document shift results, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Enforce company policies, manage team recognition programs, and authorize administrative functions such as timeclock overrides.
  • Facility Management: Ensure the restaurant maintains high cleanliness standards and that the facility and equipment are in good working order.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver and model exemplary customer service.

 

Essential Functions


To successfully perform this role, candidates must be able to:


  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, as well as bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
  • Navigate the restaurant quickly and remain on their feet throughout the shift.
  • Take orders accurately and process payments efficiently.
  • Work safely around hot cooking equipment, oil, and cleaning supplies.
  • Occasionally drive for work-related purposes (e.g., product pickup) when required.

 

Qualifications & Experience


  • Experience: 3+ years of management experience within the restaurant or retail industry.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the aptitude to learn new systems quickly.
