Overview


We are conducting a confidential search for a General Manager to lead a full service hotel in the Fort Lauderdale market. This role requires a hands on operator with strong brand experience, a track record of driving performance, and the ability to lead through a property renovation and brand transition.


The ideal candidate brings experience within the IHG system and understands the standards, expectations, and operational structure tied to branded environments. Exposure to Hilton branded properties is a strong plus, particularly with an understanding of repositioning and rebranding initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide overall leadership and direction across all departments including rooms, food and beverage, sales, and engineering
  • Drive financial performance with a focus on revenue growth, cost control, and profitability
  • Lead the hotel through a renovation and repositioning phase while maintaining operational consistency
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and prepare the property for a successful brand transition
  • Develop and mentor department leaders, building a strong leadership bench
  • Collaborate with ownership and asset management on strategic initiatives and performance goals
  • Maintain a strong presence in the market and build relationships within the local community


Qualifications


  • Prior General Manager experience in a full service hotel environment
  • Strong background within IHG branded properties required
  • Hilton brand experience highly preferred, especially in a transition or rebranding environment
  • Proven experience leading renovations or major capital improvement projects
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of improving performance
  • Hands on leadership style with the ability to drive accountability and culture
