Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our boutique hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring profitability, guest satisfaction, and adherence to brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that aligns with the hotel’s values and culture.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and retention.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and maintain the hotel’s physical condition, ensuring it meets luxury standards.
- Guest Experience:
- Champion exceptional guest service, addressing guest feedback and resolving issues promptly.
- Continuously enhance the guest experience by implementing innovative ideas and personalized touches.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with financial policies.
- Sales & Marketing:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
- Represent the hotel at industry events and build relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the hotel’s brand presence and market share.
- Strategic Planning:
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, aligning with the hotel’s vision and goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within a boutique or luxury hotel.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and sales.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and fostering a culture of service excellence.
- Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
