General Manager / Resort Operations Leader

Location: Lodi, CA

Salary: $115,000 + bonus

A high-volume, family-focused campground resort in the Lodi, California area is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead full property operations. This outdoor hospitality destination offers RV sites, cabins, glamping accommodations, family activities, water attractions, food and beverage, retail, guest services, and recreation programming.

This is a strong opportunity for a hospitality leader who enjoys running a dynamic, guest-facing resort environment where no two days are the same.


About the Role

The General Manager will oversee daily resort operations, lead department heads, drive financial performance, and ensure a memorable guest experience for families, groups, and long-term guests. The ideal candidate is operationally strong, highly visible, team-oriented, and comfortable managing both hospitality standards and physical property needs.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all resort operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, recreation, activities, retail, and food and beverage

• Lead, coach, and develop department heads and hourly team members

• Maintain a highly visible leadership presence throughout the property

• Drive guest satisfaction, online reviews, service recovery, and repeat visitation

• Manage budgets, labor, expenses, revenue goals, and operational performance

• Ensure cleanliness, safety, compliance, and brand standards across the resort

• Partner with ownership/corporate leadership on business planning and property initiatives

• Support seasonal hiring, training, scheduling, and team accountability

• Oversee vendor relationships, inventory, purchasing, and maintenance priorities

• Create a positive, family-friendly environment for both guests and team members


Ideal Candidate

• General Manager, Resort Manager, Hotel Manager, or senior operations leader experience

• Background in campgrounds, RV resorts, hotels, resorts, attractions, family entertainment, or high-volume hospitality preferred

• Strong financial acumen, including labor control, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility

• Experience leading multi-department operations

• Hands-on leadership style with strong follow-through

• Comfortable with outdoor hospitality, seasonal volume, guest recovery, and fast-paced operations

• Strong communication, organization, and team development skills

• Ability to balance guest experience, team culture, property standards, and profitability
