Job Description

Executive Chef – Private Club

We are partnering with an established private club that has recently completed a major transformation and is now focused on elevating its food and beverage program. The organization is seeking an Executive Chef to lead a reset of the culinary operation and build a strong, professional team.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on, systems-driven leader who can bring structure, consistency, and elevated standards to a scratch kitchen serving an active and engaged membership.

Position Overview

The Executive Chef will oversee all back-of-house operations, including team development, menu creation, and implementation of systems that drive consistency and accountability. This role requires a confident operator who can step in, lead from day one, and earn trust quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, ordering, and cost control
  • Develop and execute menus for a la carte dining, events, and custom banquets
  • Build and implement systems for ordering, prep, and service execution
  • Maintain consistency in quality, presentation, and execution
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and planning
  • Lead member-facing events such as wine dinners and specialty programming
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a team that can operate at a high level

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Executive Chef or a strong Executive Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Experience in clubs, hotels, resorts, or high-volume premium dining
  • Strong administrative skills, including costing, ordering systems, and scheduling
  • Ability to implement structure, create accountability, and lead teams effectively
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to earn trust quickly
  • Passion for scratch cooking and delivering high-quality, approachable food
  • Experience with custom events and multiple service styles

Culture & Fit

  • Looking for a professional who leads by example and works alongside the team
  • Comfortable in a relationship-driven environment but able to uphold standards
  • Focused on consistency, leadership, and execution over concept-driven cooking
  • Brings both humility and confidence, with a strong commitment to their craft

Additional Details

  • Active membership base with a mix of professionals and families
  • Relocation support may be available
  • 90-day onboarding and strong expectations around leadership and team development

This is a chance to take ownership of a culinary program, build the right team, and establish a sustainable, high-performing operation.
