A well-established hotel management company is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Hotel Sales Manager for a branded hotel property in the Greater Greensboro / Triad area of North Carolina.

Position Overview
The Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving room revenue through proactive sales efforts, local account development, relationship building, and strategic market outreach. This role will work closely with the General Manager and regional leadership to identify business opportunities, strengthen existing accounts, and develop new sources of revenue for the property.
This is a hands-on sales role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, making connections, following up with clients, and turning relationships into booked business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable prospecting, making sales calls, handling client communication, and supporting the hotel’s overall revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive room sales through proactive outreach, cold calls, site visits, and relationship building
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, corporate accounts, travel agencies, sports groups, universities, medical facilities, construction/project-based business, and other demand generators
- Identify new market opportunities and create strategies to grow revenue
- Partner with the General Manager and regional sales leadership to support property sales goals
- Assist in developing and executing a property-level sales plan
- Maintain regular contact with existing accounts to strengthen relationships and uncover additional business
- Solicit new accounts through phone calls, email outreach, in-person visits, networking, and community involvement
- Represent the hotel at local networking events, business functions, community organizations, and trade opportunities
- Conduct property tours and communicate hotel features, benefits, and value to prospective clients
- Support group room blocks, negotiated accounts, local corporate rates, and extended-stay opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and local demand drivers
- Track sales activity, follow-up efforts, account progress, and production
- Communicate effectively with hotel operations to ensure client expectations are met
- Support guest satisfaction by ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to operations
Qualifications
- Previous hotel sales experience preferred
- Experience as a Hotel Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, Director of Sales, Assistant Director of Sales, Catering Sales Manager, Event Sales Manager, or hospitality sales professional
- Candidates with strong hotel operations experience and demonstrated sales aptitude may also be considered
- Branded hotel experience is strongly preferred
- Understanding of hotel room sales, local negotiated accounts, group business, corporate travel, and revenue goals
- Strong communication, follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable prospecting, making calls, visiting accounts, and representing the hotel in the market
- Professional appearance and a positive, service-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently while partnering closely with hotel leadership
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Familiarity with hotel systems, sales tools, property management systems, or CRM platforms is helpful
