Job Title: General Manager

Location: Fresno, CA

Salary: $70K - $80K Base (DOE)

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a General Manager for a newly opened independent bar and restaurant in downtown Fresno, set in a restored century old house. This is an opportunity to lead a concept early, shape the culture from the ground up, and put your fingerprints on how the place runs.

The right candidate has full service restaurant or bar management experience and thrives in an owner operated environment where the answer is not always in a manual. We are looking for a hands on leader with strong beverage and service instincts, the discipline to build systems that hold, and real presence with guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across front and back of house
• Recruit, train, and retain the hourly team and shift leaders
• Own the guest experience and hold service and hospitality standards every shift
• Build and refine opening systems, checklists, and service standards for a new concept
• Manage scheduling and labour against operational targets
• Oversee bar and beverage program execution, including inventory and pour cost
• Control food and beverage cost through ordering, inventory, and waste management
• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation compliance to California standards
• Support local marketing, community presence, and events that build the guest base
• Handle guest recovery directly and use the feedback to correct issues at the source
• Review daily and weekly financial results with ownership and act on the variances
