Title: Hotel General Manager – New Hotel Opening
Location: Western North Carolina (Asheville / Mountain Region)
Property Type: Premier Select-Service Hotel (Flagship Global Brand)
Position Overview:
A premier regional hospitality management company is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead the pre-opening and operational launch of a brand-new, select-service hotel property in Western North Carolina.
As the flagship operational leader, you will oversee all aspects of the property from final pre-opening preparations and team building to post-opening P&L management, guest satisfaction, and brand standard compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Opening & Launch Execution: Direct all operational pre-opening workflows, including OS&E setup, punch-list inspections, vendor onboarding, and property readiness.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor department heads and line staff across all hotel operations, fostering a collaborative, supportive workplace culture.
- Brand & Quality Compliance: Maintain 100% compliance with global brand operating standards, safety regulations, and quality audits.
- Financial & Revenue Performance: Manage property budgets, P&L statements, labor controls, and local sales strategy to drive revenue and profitability goals.
- Guest & Community Engagement: Serve as the lead brand ambassador in the local community while ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and service recovery.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Hotel General Manager (select-service background required).
- Direct experience leading hotel openings, major re-flaggings, or property launches is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience with major global hotel brand systems and Quality Audit (QA) standards (Hilton brand experience highly preferred).
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including full P&L oversight, budgeting, and labor management.
- Strong local market connection or willingness to reside in the Western North Carolina region.
