Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• One to two years of previous Hotel General Manager experience at a hotel
• Demonstrated strengths in team building and leadership skills
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated willingness, desire, and ability to supervise with an aptitude for coaching, mentoring, training, and developing employee performance
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and communicate clearly
• Demonstrated ability to balance department efficiency with service excellence
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees with confidence in work processes and goals
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time while simultaneously managing multiple projects
• Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization

Job Responsibilities:

As the Hotel General Manager in Missoula, MT, you will:

• Direct and coordinate hotel operations to maximize efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction
• Take ownership of the hotel's financial performance, including developing and managing the annual operating budget
• Review financial results and operating reports regularly, taking corrective action when performance varies from forecast
• Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total hotel revenue
• Understand local market conditions, competitors, and business trends to inform operational strategy
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain qualified employees and department leaders
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable, while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture
• Ensure compliance with all applicable brand standards, company policies, and quality assurance requirements
• Maintain required licenses, permits, and operating documentation
• Communicate effectively with corporate leadership and represent the hotel within the local business community
• Promote hotel services to develop new markets and strengthen competitive positioning
