About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Hospitality Department Manager to join our restaurant leadership team.
This position is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, creating an exciting dining atmosphere, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
The Hospitality Department Manager oversees front-of-house operations, including dining room service, employee development, guest satisfaction, scheduling, and overall service execution.
We are looking for a leader who understands how to balance operational excellence, team development, and financial performance while creating a fun and welcoming environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Guest Experience
- Oversee daily front-of-house and dining room operations.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain strong hospitality standards.
- Lead restaurant shifts while ensuring efficient service, cleanliness, and operational execution.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and create positive guest experiences.
- Maintain a welcoming, energetic, and engaging restaurant atmosphere.
- Ensure consistent execution of company service standards.
- Support the restaurant's overall entertainment and audiovisual experience.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop front-of-house team members.
- Directly supervise servers, runners, bussers, and other assigned hospitality employees.
- Build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and employee evaluations.
- Develop future shift leaders and management talent through training and succession planning.
- Coordinate employee development and staffing needs with other department managers.
- Maintain required employee training certifications and compliance standards.
- Conduct department meetings to communicate goals, operational updates, and performance expectations.
Restaurant Operations
- Create and manage weekly employee schedules while maintaining labor budgets.
- Ensure proper staffing levels based on business volume and operational needs.
- Maintain high standards for restaurant cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Support opening, closing, and shift management procedures.
- Monitor service execution and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar leadership to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Sales & Financial Performance
- Support restaurant sales goals and profitability initiatives.
- Monitor labor expenses and operational performance.
- Review guest satisfaction reports, restaurant audits, and financial performance indicators.
- Develop action plans to address performance opportunities.
- Implement employee incentives and sales-building initiatives.
- Support local restaurant marketing programs and promotional events.
- Encourage employee participation in company promotions and guest engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant, hospitality, or retail management experience.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-development skills.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service standards.
- Understanding of labor management, scheduling, and restaurant operations.
- Strong commitment to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to complete required company management training and certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Hospitality Manager, Service Manager, Front of House Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Assistant General Manager.
- Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or sports bar environment.
- Experience managing restaurant operations with a full-service bar.
- Familiarity with restaurant financial reports, labor controls, and performance metrics.
- Proven success developing employees and improving guest satisfaction.
Compensation
Base Salary: $63,000–$66,000 annually
Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and leadership background.

Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time restaurant management position.
- Approximately 50 hours per week, based on business needs.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as required.
- Fast-paced restaurant environment requiring regular interaction with guests and employees.
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the restaurant.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
