Job Description

Restaurant General Manager

Wisconsin | Full-Time

Your restaurant experience. Your leadership. An opportunity to make your mark.

An established restaurant at a Wisconsin golf destination is seeking a hands-on Restaurant General Manager who enjoys building a team, connecting with guests and taking ownership of results.

The restaurant operates independently from the golf course, giving you responsibility for its daily operations and business performance. You’ll have the autonomy to lead, make decisions and bring ideas to life, with support from an owner-operated Wisconsin hospitality company.

If you’re energized by a busy dining room, take pride in developing people and understand the numbers behind a successful restaurant, this could be your next move.

What You’ll Lead

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, maintaining consistent food quality, service, and hospitality.
  • Recruit, train, schedule and develop restaurant employees.
  • Directly manage and support the Kitchen Manager and Front-of-House/Bar Lead.
  • Build schedules around projected sales and established labor budgets.
  • Be visible and involved—connect with guests, support employees, and jump in during busy periods.
  • Address guest concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Oversee food and beverage ordering, inventory, and cost controls.
  • Monitor food cost, beverage cost, labor, and other controllable expenses.
  • Maintain accurate cash-handling and POS procedures.
  • Uphold cleanliness, food safety, and responsible alcohol-service standards.
  • Collaborate with golf course management to deliver a welcoming experience for golfers and restaurant guests.
  • Help coordinate restaurant events, golf functions, and group business.
  • Review weekly operating results and monthly financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales and improve profitability.
  • Build a positive workplace where expectations are clear, employees feel supported, and accountability matters.

What You Bring

We care about finding the right leader, and welcome candidates whose experience demonstrates they’re ready for this responsibility.

  • Restaurant, bar, hospitality or food-and-beverage management experience.
  • Confidence leading both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • An understanding of scheduling, labor management, and staffing needs.
  • Experience with inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
  • Comfort working with budgets and basic restaurant financials.
  • Clear communication and the ability to coach employees and hold them accountable.
  • A willingness to work alongside your team when business demands it.
  • Strong guest-service skills and sound judgment.
  • Organization, dependability, and the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Pride in your work and a desire to take ownership of results.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $50,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Performance bonus: Opportunity to earn up to approximately $7,500 annually, based on restaurant performance.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid training.
  • Employee discount.
  • Flexible scheduling within operational needs.

Performance incentives focus on profitability, labor management, food and beverage cost control, guest experience, and operational and staffing standards.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time, year-round management position, with approximately 45–50 hours per week during peak periods. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required based on business needs.

Leadership presence matters when the restaurant is busiest. The company also values building a management structure that gives its leaders time for life outside work.

Why This Opportunity?

Join a growing Wisconsin hospitality company that believes in giving good people responsibility, clear expectations, and room to lead. You’ll have the opportunity to shape an established restaurant, strengthen its team and see the impact of your decisions.
