Executive Chef – Modern European Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge

Location: Brighton, MI

The Opportunity

An established hospitality group is introducing two distinct concepts under one roof in downtown Brighton: a refined Modern European restaurant and an intimate, design-forward cocktail lounge, both led from a single kitchen.

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to define the culinary identity of both. This is a rare chance to author two menus, build a kitchen, and set the standard for a new destination in dining.

The Role

• Create and refine the menus for both concepts in collaboration with ownership
• Recruit, develop, and lead a skilled culinary team
• Establish the kitchen’s foundations for opening, including line design, prep systems, recipes, and standards of execution
• Direct all culinary operations, from quality and consistency to cost management, purchasing, and inventory
• Cultivate a kitchen culture defined by precision, professionalism, and mentorship
• Partner with ownership and front-of-house leadership to deliver a polished, memorable guest experience

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership experience in fine dining or elevated restaurants
• Fluency in European cuisine and a refined, contemporary point of view
• Opening experience is a plus
• A poised, organized leader and clear communicator
• A hands-on presence in the kitchen with uncompromising standards
