Position Summary:
The Chef de Cuisine will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, team management, food quality, and cost control. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality, beautifully presented dishes
- Design and execute seasonal menus that reflect innovation, sustainability, and the culinary richness of Greenville, SC
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Collaborate with local purveyors and farmers to source the freshest ingredients and support the Greenville, SC community
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Work closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of culinary leadership experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
- Proven track record of menu development and kitchen team management
- Exceptional culinary skills with a strong foundation in contemporary American and global cuisine
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control
- Passion for sustainability and local sourcing, particularly within the Greenville, SC region
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
