Restaurant Director of Operations – Central Jersey

Position Summary:
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing multi-unit restaurant performance across the region, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial results, and a consistent, high-quality guest experience. This role requires a strategic, results-driven leader who can develop teams, optimize systems, and scale operations in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operations for multiple restaurant locations, ensuring consistency in service, quality, and brand standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop General Managers and management teams to drive performance and accountability
  • Analyze financial performance across locations, including P&L, labor, and food costs, and implement strategies to improve profitability
  • Drive sales growth through local marketing initiatives, operational improvements, and guest experience enhancements
  • Establish and maintain operational systems, processes, and best practices to support scalability
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all units
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, expansion, and new store openings
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess operations, coach teams, and ensure execution of company standards
  • Oversee staffing strategies, including recruiting, training, and retention initiatives
  • Identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions that improve efficiency and performance
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of restaurant management experience, including multi-unit leadership
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing multiple P&Ls
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with experience managing high-performing teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regional regulations
  • Willingness to travel regularly between locations
