Position Overview:
The Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in kitchen operations, ensuring consistent culinary execution, food quality, and team development. This position supports the Chef in day-to-day management, culinary standards, and coordination of back-of-house operations while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety.
  • Lead, train, and mentor culinary team members to maintain consistency and uphold company culinary guidelines.
  • Assist with menu execution, recipe adherence, and quality control across all stations.
  • Manage inventory, product rotation, and ordering to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with management on labor planning, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, promoting smooth service during peak hours.
  • Step into the Chef’s role as needed to maintain seamless kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, polished-casual or upscale dining environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a diverse culinary team.
  • Excellent understanding of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to stay organized and perform well under pressure.
  • ServSafe or similar certification preferred.
