Restaurant General Manager – Pizza Restaurant
Location: Nanuet, NY
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to lead operations for a high-volume pizza restaurant in Nanuet, NY. The ideal candidate must have strong pizza industry experience, hands-on dough knowledge, and the leadership skills to manage daily restaurant operations while maintaining exceptional food quality and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, including kitchen, front-of-house, staffing, scheduling, and inventory
- Ensure consistent execution of pizza recipes, dough preparation, fermentation, and quality standards
- Manage and train staff on operational procedures, food safety, and customer service expectations
- Monitor dough production, hydration/saturation levels, proofing, and fermentation processes
- Maintain labor and food cost controls while maximizing profitability
- Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain a positive dining experience
- Work closely with ownership to improve systems, efficiency, and overall restaurant performance
- Maintain vendor relationships and oversee ordering/inventory management
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience
- MUST have pizza restaurant experience
- Strong knowledge of pizza dough production, including dough saturation/hydration, fermentation, proofing, and handling
- Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NY-style pizza operations
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- POS and inventory management experience preferred
