Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized Catering Operations Manager to oversee the daily execution of banquet and catering events in a high-volume hospitality environment. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences through strong operational leadership, staff management, and seamless coordination between front-of-house, culinary, and event teams. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced settings, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is passionate about hospitality and event execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all catering and banquet operations for weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and private functions.
  • Coordinate event logistics with culinary, service, and management teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Manage front-of-house banquet staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure proper event setup, service flow, breakdown, and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by responding promptly and professionally to client and guest needs.
  • Monitor labor costs, staffing levels, inventory, and operational expenses to meet financial goals.
  • Work closely with clients, vendors, and event coordinators to ensure all event details are executed accurately.
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards throughout all operations.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing team members to support a positive and productive work environment.
  • Handle multiple events simultaneously while maintaining organization, professionalism, and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of catering, banquet, or hospitality management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience managing high-volume events and large service teams.
  • Knowledge of banquet operations, staffing, inventory, and hospitality standards.
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, reporting, and operational management systems is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong guest relations and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Experience with upscale dining, catering, or event venues.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate teams during high-pressure service periods.
