Job Description
We are seeking a General Manager for our 60-room, extended stay, new build hotel in central Vermont. Our Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of service, and optimizing profitability. This role requires dynamic leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. The General Manager will manage all aspects of the hotel operations, including guest relations, staff management, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure the hotel runs efficiently and provides outstanding guest service.
 - Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
 - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
 - Manage budgets, financial plans, and expenditure reports.
 - Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
 - Oversee guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
 - Maintain and enhance the property’s market presence and reputation.
 - Develop marketing strategies to boost room bookings and build steady revenue streams.
 - Monitor and review performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.
 - Foster a positive working environment, encouraging teamwork and a service-oriented culture.
 
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
 - Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
 - Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
 - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
 - Proficient in fiscal management and business operations.
 - Ability to oversee stressful situations and make sound decisions quickly.
 - Knowledgeable in hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
