Job Description
Title of Position – Director of Housekeeping
Compensation: $90k to $100k plus 15% bonus potential
Job Description: The Director of Housekeeping leads the Housekeeping Department in an attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, delivering quality service and a clean, safe environment for every guest throughout their stay. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the daily operation of the department, from room standards and public areas to back-of-house spaces. You'll coach, train, and develop the housekeeping team, manage schedules against business forecasts, control supplies and equipment, and oversee vendor contracts. You'll also manage expenses carefully while maximizing service levels, inspect rooms daily, prepare for VIP arrivals, and partner closely with Guest Services and Engineering to keep the property guest-ready at all times. The right candidate balances operational discipline with genuine care for both the team and the guest experience.

Qualifications:
- The Director of Housekeeping must have at least three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a four-year college degree with at least one year of related experience; or a two-year college degree with two or more years of related experience
- Supervisory experience is required for the Director of Housekeeping
- The Director of Housekeeping must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel
- A passion for coaching, training, and developing teams is a must for the Director of Housekeeping
- The Director of Housekeeping must be comfortable managing department schedules, budgets, supplies, and vendor contracts
- The Director of Housekeeping must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented manner
- The Director of Housekeeping must be able to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems to meet deadlines in a high-volume resort environment
- The Director of Housekeeping should be available to the resort as business needs require, including long hours when necessary
