Role Summary

As the Area Director, you will oversee daily operations across a designated district of fast-casual locations, based in the Triangle. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced operator who can drive growth, execute proven systems, coach General Managers, and Store leaders in the field, and deliver strong operational results during peak volume.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop Talent: Directly manage, coach, and mentor General Managers, and store leaders to build strong, self-sufficient leadership teams in every location.
  • Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Provide hands-on operational oversight across the district, ensuring brand standards are met and teams are equipped for success. This includes supporting recruitment and hiring efforts to maintain staffing levels.
  • Drive Financial Performance: Take full ownership of district P&L. Optimize profitability by strictly monitoring labor matrices, food cost controls, and waste reduction without sacrificing the guest experience.
  • Elevate the Guest Experience: Ensure every location delivers consistent, high-quality food and fast, friendly service that drives repeat business and local sales growth.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence: Enforce rigorous brand standards, food safety protocols, and sanitation compliance across all units.
  • Provide Hands-On Support: Maintain high visibility in your restaurants. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with your teams during peak periods to identify operational bottlenecks and provide real-time coaching.
  • Support Strategic Staffing: Drive hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives to stabilize teams and reduce the cost of turnover.

 

Qualifications

  • Multi-Unit Experience: 3+ years of successful multi-unit leadership experience in the fast-casual, quick-service, or similar restaurant industry.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of restaurant P&L, budget forecasting, and cost-control measures.
  • Operational Expertise: Proven ability to standardize execution across multiple high-volume locations.
  • Leadership Presence: Strong communication skills with a clear track record of developing hourly staff into management roles.
  • Action-Oriented: A proactive problem-solver who thrives under the pressure of a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Preferred to be Raleigh based or within the Triangle area.
